- Volume 1 - 1866 : Volume 1, VIII & 384 pages with index, binding tight and strong, in ¾ leather with considerable wear. Internally, good with the pages (61,63,318 and 382-384) numbered neatly in ink. On the pages 365/366 and 366/367 there is a small part of the paper (triangle ~ 1 cm) missing on the upper corner but no text loss! Overall Assessment = Very Good!
- Volume 2 - 1867 : Volume 2, VIII & 384 pages with index, binding tight and strong, in ¾ leather with considerable wear. Internally, good with the pages (30,61,63,65,91,191-193,255,382 and 384) numbered neatly in ink. On the page 143 there is a thin part (height ~5 cm, width ~ 0,5 cm) at the edge of the paper missing but no text loss! On the pages 217/218 and 219/220, there is a small part of the paper (triangle ~ 1,5 cm) missing on the upper corner but no text loss! Overall Assessment = Very Good!
- Volume 3 - 1868 : Volume 3, 472 pages, is ex-lib, lacks title page and index which is neatly written in pencil (3 folded A4 pages with 11 written pages). Binding tight and strong, in ¾ leather with considerable wear and top of outer spine with a small crack. Internally, good with the pages (30,119,112,150,310,312,350,352,469,471 and 472) numbered neatly in ink. Overall Assessment = Good!
- Volume 4 - 1869 : Volume 4, XI & 460 pages with index, is also ex-lib but complete. Binding tight and strong, in ¾ leather with considerable wear and top of upper hinge/spine with a small crack but in situ! Internally, good with the pages (40,110,112,150, 152,310,312,392,430,432,459 and 460) numbered neatly in ink. Overall Assessment = Good!
The great collector Mr. DeLucia wrote in 2016 :"I should point out that in the 30 years I’ve been collecting I’ve seen one set sell in auction, Baburin 2011, for a little over $3,000! Quite scarce."
